Summer Schools in Asia

If you're interested in gaining exchange experience in Asia but feel that a full semester might be too long, one of our summer schools could be the perfect alternative.

Depending on your interests, you can either join a summer school coordinated by the International Affairs Division at the University of Cologne or choose from a range of programmes offered by our partner universities. Please note that most partner university summer schools require the payment of tuition fees; however, applying through the International Affairs Division may qualify you for a discount.

Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs)

...are short, hands-on courses designed to give you a unique learning experience. These programmes combine innovative teaching methods with online collaboration, allowing you to work with fellow students from around the world. You’ll tackle real-world challenges—like those related to the United Nations’ sustainable development goals or issues faced by cities, regions, or businesses—while working in transnational, interdisciplinary teams.

These programmes offer something extra compared to traditional courses, with a more interactive and dynamic learning environment. They can even run over multiple years, giving you the chance to dive deeper into the topics that matter most to you.

By blending in-person experiences with virtual learning, these programmes offer a flexible way to study abroad, no matter your background, field of study, or level of education. It’s a great opportunity to expand your horizons, develop new skills, and connect with students from all over the world.

Workshops, Courses, and Training

EUniWell is developing a joint catalogue for all educational offerings of the Alliance. Called the EUniWell Courses and Training Catalogue, the catalogue is free of charge and open to all our academic communities: students, academic and administrative staff.

It offers a wide variety of courses and trainings related to the EUniWell thematic arenas as well as transversal well-being skills. It gives learners the opportunity to benefit from the expertise of 11 universities across Europe to customise and internationalise their career or study path.

The EUniWell Courses and Training Catalogue encompasses both shared offers from one partner institution to others and co-created EUniWell offers. Courses and trainings can be offered in different formats: online, blended, or on site with short intensive formats (BIPs).
