Research Program “Ethnography on the Doorstep and Abroad” 

The Research program “Ethnography on the Doorstep and Abroad” <Ethnographie vor der Haustür und in der Welt> is offered by the Department of Cultural and Social Anthropology in cooperation with the Institute of Oriental Studies, Division Islam Studies. By participating in the program, students will deal with the topic “Geflüchtete in und um Köln" in the context of a fieldwork-project, whilst working in interdisciplinary research teams.

Fieldwork-Project in Nambia 2015/16

Starting with an regional introductory course in summer semester 2015, advanced BA-students as well as MA-students of C&S Anthropology are offered the opportunity to take part in a fieldwork-project in Nambia. The fieldwork period will probably take place in March and April 2016.
